About Me

I started in CS because I liked building things. But somewhere along the way I started caring more about whether the thing should exist, who it was for, and why people weren't actually using it. Engineering couldn't answer those questions. So I went looking for the other half.

MEM was that search. And somewhere in the middle of it, during an IBM Design Thinking Capstone, things clicked. My team was studying littering around bus stops in Raleigh. The easy assumption was obvious. But when I sat down and actually talked to the people at those stops, everything shifted. The problem wasn't behavioral, it was structural. That project gave me something I carry into everything: the people closest to the problem are never the problem.

What I'm looking for

Roles at the intersection of product, business, and technology, where getting close to the problem is still the job.
